Spanish Craftsmanship Since 1956
JONI, which has its roots in the town of Elda, Spain, and whose history dates back to the art of shoemaking for over half a century, was founded in 1956 by José Ibáñez Martínez and María Latorre Sánchez. The two had one dream: to produce high-quality women’s footwear with passion, hard work, and honesty.
Since its inception in the small workshop in Elda, JONI has been loyal to the traditional shoemaking process. For over 60 years, each and every shoe has been designed and produced in the original workshop, with the small team working with passion and dedication.
However, over the years, JONI has expanded and moved to its state-of-the-art facilities, while still holding true to its founding principles. Today, each and every collection has been designed and crafted with the passion and dedication of the team, with the utmost care and respect for tradition.
Today, JONI, with the third generation of the Ibáñez family, and Pepe Delicado, operating in Sydney, Australia, offers the best of Spain with its collections, designed for the elegant and sophisticated woman of today.

Our Production
Made in Spain
JONI footwear is made with pride and care in Spain, located in the heart of the historical footwear area of Elda.
Our creative process starts with research and design. We work hand in hand with our design and pattern teams to develop each collection, blending tradition and innovation.
Every season, over 300 models are created. Only the most refined and popular designs are chosen for production.
From cutting to packaging, each shoe is touched by more than 90 pairs of skilled hands. This process is the essence of our commitment to our artisans, who are passionate about creating each shoe as if it were their own work.
This is the human touch that has been passed on through generations and gives JONI its soul.
Meet Pepe Delicado
I am Pepe Delicado, the third generation of the JONI family, and the proud link between my family’s rich heritage and my Australian adventure.
Born and raised in Elda, Spain, in a family of shoemakers, I was surrounded by craftsmanship, imagination, and the understanding of the importance of quality work. Since my early days, I had the privilege of understanding the true meaning of being a shoemaker: it’s not just a job or a business, it’s a way of life, and one must be proud of the work one does.
After having developed my career in the fashion industry and having lived more than a decade in Sydney, Australia, I felt the need to bring the JONI heritage to Australia. With my passion for people, fashion, and storytelling, I am proud to be the link between JONI’s artisans in Spain and JONI’s customers in Australia, creating the bridge between tradition and innovation, authenticity and elegance, and the human touch.
My vision is to honour our family’s history while shaping a modern, international future for JONI. One rooted in authenticity, elegance, and human connection.
